Where We’ve Been

The tours shown here only scratch the surface of the tours that Pedal Pedal founder Jason Williams has led over many years. For more of Jason’s history and touring see his personal website at jasonw.com.au.

We operate tours for private groups so if any of these appeal and you have a group get in touch via our contact page.

PORTUGAL & SPAIN

PORTUGUESE CAMINO

Last cycled: May 2025

The Camino is probably the world’s greatest pilgrimage. We cycled for two weeks from Coimbra, Portugal to Santiago, Spain along with thousands of other pilgrims. With beautiful beaches, natural landscapes, villages, tracks, trails, cobblestones, amazing food and wine, and the camaraderie of the pilgrims this is an adventurous and rewarding tour.

THAILAND

NORTH THAILAND

Last ridden: November 2024

A challenging tour in the northern mountains of Thailand for a private group, this tour was tougher than our regular offerings. We rode from the northern capital of Chiang Mai around the borderland of Myanmar and Laos - the infamous Golden Triangle - and made two big climbs: one to the Chinese town of Mae Salong and the other up Phu Chi Fa.

NEW ZEALAND

SOUTH ISLAND TRAILS

Last ridden: November 2022

After a forced break due to the COVID pandemic we finally got back on the bikes in New Zealand, riding two spectacular trails in the South Island. The Alps 2 Ocean Trail took us from the foot of Mt Cook to the coast, while the Wilderness Trail wound along the West Coast through lush forests.

GERMANY AUSTRIA SLOVAKIA HUNGARY

THE GREAT DANUBE BIKE RIDE

Last ridden: May 2024

Cycling down the Danube River between Passau in Germany to Budapest in Hungary. These were two of the best tours we’ve ever done. If you’ve never travelled by bike before this is the perfect introduction. And for experienced riders enjoy one of the world’s classic bike routes.

CAMBODIA

CAMBUNI: THE CAMBODIA UNICYCING TOUR

Last ridden: November 2019

A unique, one-off trip with a group of crazy and passionate unicyclists exploring all that Cambodia has to offer. We ride from the majestic of Angkor Wat, the vibrant and somewhat manic capital of Phnom Penh, then south to the coast for a bit of quality beach time and great back roads.

JAPAN

ISLANDS OF JAPAN

Last ridden: October 2019

Ride the beautiful islands of Kyushu, Shikoku, and Honshu through regions little explored by most people visiting Japan. Relax in quaint onsen villages, eat incredible food, stay overnight in a temple, ride coastlines and towns, and get deep into the heart of beautiful Japan.

VIETNAM & LAOS

CYCLE REMOTE VIETNAM & LAOS

Last ridden: September 2019

A remote ride from Hanoi in Vietnam to Luang Prabang in Laos. Lots of spectacular mountain, interesting history, the vibrancy of Vietnam and laid back Laos. This remote trip is simple on the accommodation and services but big on landscapes and memories.

FRANCE

CYCLE BURGUNDY & PROVENCE

Last ridden: July 2017

In Burgundy we saw the best region has to offer - famous vineyards, beautiful castles, gorgeous countryside and villages. From Burgundy we took the train to Provence to continue riding for a week through the Cotes de Rhone and Alpilles scenery and sites, passing through the typical and charming Luberon villages along the way.
